** Power Comfort Wheelchair ensuring unique sensory-stimulation
The new Kamille Comfort Wheelchair designed by Cobi Rehab of Denmark, provides exceptional support because the seating system is so flexible it can support positioning without special adaptation.
This power version has the option for mounting two joysticks, one for the caregiver and possibly one for the patient.
The potential to adapt optimally to the individual helps to increase activity level, function level and quality of life.
The wheelchair can be tilted up to 45°, which aids in transfers and other manoeuvres. The back can be reclined up to 35°.
The Kamille can also be adapted to the user’s hip, knee and ankle joints.
Electrically adjustable back and electric tilt for the seat and back.
The Kamille 'Power Comfort' Wheelchair version comes with an electrically adjustable back and tilt as standard.
The various electrical functions are continuously variable, which means the user will not experience any distressing lurch or jarring.
The electric function also allows independent adjustment of the hip angle and the angling of the seat back.
Electric tilt and back adjustment ensures easier operation for the attendant - carer, and substantially easing any manual handling.
The electric functions are activated with a simple hand controller that can be operated by either the user or the helper.
The Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair comes with electric propulsion (motor) operated via a joystick.
The Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair can travel up to 5 km/h. The maximum range is approximately 10 km at full load. The wheelchair can traverse down/over curbs and door thresholds up to 30 mm and up and down slopes and ramps with a 6% incline.
Apart from the electric propulsion, the Kamille Power Wheelchair is identical to the Kamille Comfort Wheelchair.
** Expected service life 7 years!
Joystick - Manoeuvring the wheelchair
The joystick allows caregivers or patients to manoeuvre the wheelchair and adjust the seat and back angles (tilt and recline). The primary joystick is mounted on the push handle, but a joystick can also be mounted on the armrest for the patient.
The primary joystick mounted on the push handle determines who controls the wheelchair. The joystick on the armrest can be turned on/off as needed.
On the joystick, you will find:
– a power button
– a horn button
– a display showing battery capacity, time, speed, and driving profile
– two buttons labelled Mode and Profile
– a double button controlling the speed
The patient-controlled joystick installed on the supplied swivel bracket allows the wheelchair user to manoeuvre the wheelchair ensuring independence to e.g., participate in activities.
A user-controlled joystick can be installed on the push bar making it easier for relatives or caregivers to manoeuvre the wheelchair to activity or to treatment.
The display on the joystick shows the three programmable travels modes. On the back of the joystick, there is a socket for charging the wheelchair. The Power Wheelchair should be charged to 100% every day.
Padded body supports (additional options)
Specially developed body supports placed in slots on the back system contribute to near- body trunk stability, regardless of whether the user has scoliosis or decreased -increased thoracic tone. Multiple body supports can be placed on each side for more complex needs.
Cushion system
The Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair is equipped with a complete and unique cushion system that ensures more pressure distribution and near-body positioning.
The cushions have been carefully designed to fit the body part they support.
Designed in Denmark, and backed with UK Support
The Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair has been developed by Danish physiotherapists and occupational therapists and product development engineers in collaboration with key persons from public institutions.
Full UK Engineer backup support by ENdynamics.
