    Our Posture and Mobility Team is able to offer formal comprehensive Assessments for both children and adults with all levels of disability, who require both manual and powered mobility equipment and seating.

    We aim to improve the physical, mental and social function of people with disabilities by the provision of appropriate assistive devices, in order to reduce of environmental barriers.

    We aim to promote both independence and function and still meet budgetary constraints in today’s financial climate.

    Our qualified Team carry out comprehensive assessments for Scooters, manual and powered wheelchairs.

    This can include the addition of complex switches, head controls, sip and puff and alternative controls.

    Postural assessments recommending equipment solutions including modular seating systems, custom seating, specialist armchairs plus advice on night time positioning.

    Assessments for pressure relief cushions and advice on time and pressure management.

    Complete equipment management solutions.

    Training and advice for clients, families/carers and support staff in the use of equipment in order to manage physical/postural issues.

    Professional, clinical assessments including Incident reporting via MHRA, for all clinical, professional and legal concerns.

    Advice and comprehensive recommendations via telephone email or face to face.

    This may involve domiciliary/home assessments, visits to special schools, day centres and other community facilities both regional and national.

    We co-operate with a wide range of NHS related groups and social and community services to provide rapid response and a unique complex support programme.
